This is D Kirk (KV).

D Kirk, tell us some more about how you got started in music.

Hey guys, I got started with music around the time I attended college at Kutztown University my sophomore/freshman year in 2013/2014.

At the time, I was experimenting artistically as far as freestyle rapping to favorite songs and making my own versions.

By attending campus event parties it allowed me to be more confident in my personality & music.

I was always listening and discovering new music kind of like a DJ at some points for artists like Big Sean, Chris Brown, J Cole and Fabolous to name a few.

Growing up, my father played a lot of music from rnb, hip pop, and dancehall and such artists made me love music like Sean Paul, Keith Sweat, New Edition, LL Cool J, Biggie Smalls, and 2 Pac.

So music was always apart of my life and soul which I get my vibes from.

How would you describe your style/sound & how is it different?

I would describe my sound as a wave or vibe.

Its a mixture of rnb, hip hop as well as some dancehall.

There is something different about blending sounds like pop that give you the KV (which means Kool Vibes)

It has its own soul sound from sing harmonizing with rnb dancehall sounds and lyrical songs about love life past experience and just making fun music to make people have fun.

The music is a chance to be apart of something happy and great while tackling love feelings and more from sounds west coast to trap soul.

Your music has received high praise! What would you say to aspiring artists who look up to you?

I would tell them to never stop dreaming and to never give up on what you love.

Sometimes, you hit rough spots but use those as times to create and make more music.

Make sure you put your all in your content; from your cover art to the sounds, as well as releasing properly and knowing your fan base.

Its not about how many songs you drop, it's about the quality and presentation.

You shouldn't just want plays, you should want your music to last and be fresh.

You should also always look for a playlist to submit your music to and get your music with distribution services and all platforms.

Music is a job; but and the main thing is to ENJOY THE TIMES AND HAVE FUN AND LOVE WHAT YOU DO FROM YOUR HEART!!

Do you have anything new or upcoming we can expect to see from you?

Yes, I am currently working on a deluxe album for my debut Studio album "Oceans" that came out in January called "Waves."

There will be a few more tracks added that didn't make Oceans and some new tracks as well as new content to be released in mid July !
