ARTIST ON THE WATCH: Y.N.G JUICE

This is Y.N.G Juice.

Y.N.G Juice, tell us more about how you got into music?

Growing up, my Momma was big on music.

Every Sunday, while we clean the house there was always some music on; from Bobby Womack to India Arie.

When pops was working out, there was music playing.

That’s just what I was used to.

My uncle was also big in the music industry playing keyboard for funk bands, and I just fell in love with the life that music brings.

I’ve been stuck since I was 10 years old.

I started writing music at 12, and from there it grew.

I turned my love of hearing and writing music, into producing, engineering and writing my own work.

Music is that safe haven away from all the nonsense!

What would you say separates your sound/style from the others?

I was raised with a different sound.

It was always more funk, soul and R&B when I wanted to chill and listen to music.

When I’m working, I like to blend a piece of each into hip hop or trap just to open the instrumental up and be able to ride my own wave!

What has been some of your favorite tracks you've got to work on?

#FallinSummers so far has been my favorite project to work.

#HYWSS was a deep song for me, and I got to get out some of the pain I have inside me.

Do you have anything new or upcoming we can expect to see from you?

Of course, I’m working on an album now titled #WinterSprings that will be released in July and a couple instrumental tapes that will be released soon too.
