ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: JCASDAGOD

Jcas, tell us a little more about how you got into music.

I grew up in Chicago outwest and lived with nine family members in a two bedroom project.

After I moved from there to the suburbs, I had multiple run ins with the law.

I was arrested at 15 years old because I was involved in a shooting.

After that, I just had a story I wanted to rap about.

I played sports but I dropped out of high school.

I grew up listening to all genres of music, my mom is a big pop/R&B fan.

I used to sing Michael Jackson songs when I was younger all the time, my mom said I sounded exactly like him.

My sister is a big artist in the game right now she goes by 'Dreezy' A.K.A “Seandrea Sledge”.

So after I saw how she came up in the game, I knew I could do anything.

I’ve been doin music for five years and I will not stop until I hit mainstream.

Your music is such a vibe! What is your creative process when it comes to making songs?

To be honest, I freestyle most of my songs.

I write more of my softer song, but I rap real things.

I rap about my love life and about the many things that’s going on.

EVERYTHING IS GENUINE NO CAP IN MY RAP.

But the diversity of my music is what catches people's attention.

I can make pop, hard rap, r&b anything you name it.

If I wanted to do country I could do it haven’t tried though.

Do you have anything new or upcoming we can expect to see from you?

I have a couple singles dropping soon but my most waitin on project right now is “Blast Off Jcas” which will change how the world looks on my music.

I can show that I can be diverse and make music for all ears.

No specific time but very soon that's all I can say!

You will definitely be hearing my name very soon.

I have multiple videos out and on the way, so be on the lookout!
