Quadd21, Tell us a little more about how you got into music!
Hey, what’s good?
I go by Rakheem A.K.A "Quadd21".
I'm a 23 year old R&B Singer.
And my musical journey started at the age of nine in a small town called Pahokee Fl. Known as Muck city.
Although music has always been a part of my life, I used to sing in choir and my grandmother, Viola Davis, sung with B.B.KING back in the old days , but I never realized my true talent .
But that all changed when me and my triplet brother Raheem and two others friends sung at our 5th grade graduation.
That was the first time I showcased my talent.
At that point, after seeing the reaction of the crowd, I fell in love and a seed was planted forever.
Now I’m working with a Dj out of NJ known as 'Djmillymill609' he produced my new EP called, "LEOTALK" which was released August 1st of 2020
What is your creative process when it comes to writing songs?
Well, first just knowing what you want to talk about in your songs.
Getting the tempo, Start with either your hook or verse.
Put some feeling into your craft .
Last but not least, know what audience your hitting with the particular song.
What would you say to aspiring artists who look up to your work?
I would say don’t rush into nothing.
Just let the universe take its course on you.
Stay ready at all times!
Know what you want as an artist.
Be prepared for let downs and no’s.
Be determined!
Just keep working eventually you’ll be seen and heard.
Do you have anything new or upcoming we can expect to see from you?
Yes!
I just dropped a project called, "LeoTalk" which was released August 1st it’s available right now on all platforms!
