1080p, tell us a little more about how you got into music.
I grew up in a house that was constantly playing music from the Temptations to EPMD and The Roots!!
All I've ever did was hear music growing up in a house of twelve and everyone had their own musical taste.
I first realized I can rap/sing in fifth grade just joking around trying to be like Jay-z.
My first freestyle was on the Jay-z "A Million and One Questions" track.
At that time, my cousin and I were recording ourselves at home with dreams of blowing up LOL, silly kids we were but driven.
Not to mention, my mother did shows with Kenny Latimore with a Club Hit "Treat Me Right".
So, I was born into this to answer your question.
You truly are a jack of all trades! Tell us some more about your company Division North.
My company, Division North, distributes myself and a number of acts from Jersey.
I will be be releasing projects from this upcoming new year along with producers and writers.
I started the company two years ago under the umbrella of my other label, "TheCxlture" and partnership I have with Symphonic Distribution.
This year under Division North I have released eight projects on AppleMusic and Spotify and 7 singles.
A lot of people don't know, but I'm also the R&B singer, TheLxveMovie1080p, LOL!
Creating Division North allowed my other personalty to come out and thats how you got 1080p.
We represent everything the culture stands for, we live this shit and breath it.
And soon will be giving the world a crazy compilation featuring our artist, 'Slice Billy' and 'HAUGHTON'.
What would you say to aspiring artists & entrepreneurs who look up to your work?
I would tell aspiring artist to stay consistent and focused!
It's never over, chase your dreams until you cant!
Learn the business, it's more to making it than music.
And always be open to learning that smartest man in the room knows nothing.
Oh yeah, and get the right lawyer to read that contract!
It's no excuse taking a slave deal in todays game with all the info you can put yourself on.
Do you have anything new or upcoming we can expect to see from you?
I just released an album available everywhere called, "1of1'.
I also have been releasing a project a month since January.
1Of1, 291 The Album, Ball-Rap-Trap, Iretta Hilmes Grandson, Valentino Red Ep, F&F Ep, STATUS Ep, and the "DUDUS" Ep. November 2020; expect the Division North compilation and a new R&B project produced by "Party Michael".
