ARTIST ON THE WATCH: ASH ALLURE

Ash, tell us a little more about how you got into music!

I always had a deep affinity to music since a very young age.

My mom was an artist herself so going to the studio with her and seeing her create music made me feel more comfortable expressing myself artistically.

In addition to that, I always had a keen ear to music and fell in love with the avant-garde styles of music early.

For example, my top 5 albums are:

The Love Below by Outkast

Because the Internet by Childish Gambino

Apocalypse by Thundercat

Love Deluxe by Sadé

Thriller by Michael Jackson

Bonus: Urban Flora by Alina Baraz & Galimatias

I love artists who bring an eccentric style to the game & change the scope of music as a whole.

My style is very multi-faceted and universal, so seeing those artists bring that very niche sound, and making it resonate on a global scale is very inspiring.

In like manner, for a long time I couldn’t categorize what my sound was so I ended up creating my own genre called ,Frequency Trap and my goal is to make that resonate worldwide just as my influences did.

What is your creative process when it comes to writing songs?

My creative process when I’m writing songs is very personalized.

I'm very adamant about making my music connect deeply with my fans, so I have to use real experiences so I don’t have any masks on when I’m recording or writing.

I believe that through your pain and brokenness you are able to heal others just by expressing it.

So that’s my muse, my own struggles and shortcomings to help heal my Allurians.

What would you say to aspiring artists who look up to your work?

To all aspiring artists that look up to me and my work I have one thing to say: Trust Yourself!

You have what it takes to be anything you want to be and you have a unique imprint on this world that no one can emulate or duplicate.

The world needs you.

The world needs your gift and your light to shine upon it.

You are so strong and courageous and you will overcome any obstacle that comes your way.

I believe in you and I'm so proud of you.

Your debut album “Serenity” drops this fall, what is the meaning behind it & what can your Allurians expect from it?

Serenity is my debut album encompassing the lessons, passions, and highs and lows of my journey through life so far.

It’s about going through a period of darkness & pushing through that to see the light again.

The physical representation of that is my brand animal the Peacock.

The peacock symbolizes me and my Allurians because it represents transformation, and it’s Phoenix-like qualities is symbolic of rising from the ashes and rebirthing into an indestructible light warrior.

What my Allurians can expect from this album is versatility, authenticity and originality.

Every song has its own flavor and vibe, but it’s still a cohesive conceptual story that you can follow.

So excited for my allurians to hear it!

Holistic Health & Mental health are two topics you are really passionate about and have been very vocal about how important they are to you. How do u want to enlighten people about these topics & what’s your plan of action to get people to take their Mental health more serious?

Mental health is definitely something I am very passionate about.

Exploiting and helping people get over the fear of the unknown when it comes to knowing what mental health is and the correct way to discuss it.

People who are mentally ill aren’t crazy, weird, or any other derogatory names people like to call them.

Every person has experienced some type of trauma in their life that has changed their perspective and outlook on life.

The level and severity of it is a direct correlation to mental and emotional stability.

The current treatment for people who are on the higher side of the spectrum of mental illness is very corrupt right now.

For example, there are countless cases of mistreatment of patients in mental health hospitals and also psychiatrists prescribing high-dosage drugs that are only making big pharmaceutical companies more profitable.

As a result of these malpractices, it has done severe damage to people who are clinically mentally ill and have no other way to treat themselves because of the corruption of Western medicine.

For this reason, I got a Certificate in Holistic and Integrative Heath to help people become more attuned to using forms of holistic health therapy such as herbal remedies, plant-based diet and nutrition, aromatherapy and much more methods that focuses more on energy healing.

My plan of action is to create educational content, build Holistic Health wellness centers and do a lot of philanthropic work to change the discussion about mental health and holistic health.

This will create a blueprint to help people holistically heal themselves effectively and efficiently.
