BREAKTHROUGH ARTIST: BLAKK GAWD

Blakk Gawd, tell us a little more about how you got into music!

I got into music from Older brother "Mouse."

I was about 14 when he played 2pacs song "When We Ride on Our Enemies."

It was the beat that did it for me, but how @pac came on there it made me want to start rapping.

After that my brother would alway take me to go rap with him on the block and to kickbacks where we would just spit freestyles for hours.

My brother really pushed me with this rap music.

Everyday I came home from school he would have a new beat for me to rap to.

If I didn't have a song by time he got home later on that night, hands started flying.

That's how much he believed in me.

You are truly a jack of all trades! What inspired you to launch C7 records?

I started C7 Records because it has always been a dream of mine to have my own label.

Now that I am more efficient on the business side I felt it was only right sign myself.

On the other hand, I do everything on the business side for myself already so why not create my own label and get the perks that come with owning a business.

What would you say to aspiring artists & entrepreneurs who look up to your work?

Believe in yourself.

Grind and know that God will handle the rest.

Don't listen to the opinions of others, do you.

Make the sacrifices you need to make and never let anyone make you feel guilty for making the choices you know in your gut you need to make.

Do you have anything new or upcoming we can expect to see from you?

Yes.

I actually have my third album titled,"Blakk Bianchi II" dropping either January or February this upcoming year.
