Top Brands On The Watch: Rose Garden Clothing

Tell us a little more about when you first launched Rose Garden Clothing!

Originally it started off as just making clothing for myself because I noticed that when I would go shopping I never really liked what other companies produced around 2017-2019.

So I decided to try and make my own.

The first design I made was an outline of a panda with roses for eyes on a black t-shirt.

When production was finished and I physically had the shirt to wear, my friends and family wanted to buy one.

But, the idea for the company didn’t come until there were days that while working at forever 21 I had a few customers asking what section they could find the shirt I was wearing; that’s when I figured I had something good!

Fast forward to 2020, when the company was about to open COVID-19 hit and made everything a lot more complicated, but one of many great things happened for the company.

Once the world slowed down we were able to take a closer look into production, the clothing, and the website; we were able to refine and restructure so the company could become what the world sees it as today!

How would you describe the style and aesthetic of Rose Garden Clothing?

I would describe Rose Garden Clothing as having a West/East Coast style with a casual aesthetic.

The reason being because I wanted costumes to have a variety of clothing that can fit how they feel, because fashion isn’t just what or who you’re wearing but how it's put together.

Here at Rose Garden Clothing by providing access to clothing that is comfortable, inspirational and relatable to the streetwear culture, the fashionistas, and the everyday consumer we achieve our goal of building community through fashion in order to create tangible confidence.

Between my Head of Design, Amanda Pineda, and myself, the designs fall between artsy illustration and realistic imagery.

What would you say to any aspiring entrepreneurs who look up to your work?

1. Understand what you’re getting yourself into and always continue to educate yourself.

2. Most importantly be authentic with who you are and what you want.

3. Failure is okay because things might not happen the way you want it, but if life pushes you down don't stay down.

4. Collaborate with your others in your city because everything has a foundation.

5. Build a team of people just as passionate about the reason why you do what you do and make sure they have expertise in what you don’t know.

6. NEVER GIVE UP!!!

Do you have anything new or upcoming we can expect to see from you?

Being announced here on DARK Magazine for the first time the official opening will be next month in May 2021, and the official announcement will be posted on our social media pages very soon.

For the Youtube channel, I’m currently working on a segment where dancers go head to head to showcase their work to the world to compete for prizes and opportunities.

I’m also in the process of planning a Pop-Up Shop in Boston Massachusetts.

With the way social media has catapulted some people to fame, I want to provide people with a platform but more importantly a chance at success!
